Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about pricing, permitting, durability, delivery, and building on rural Texas land.
Pricing
How much does a container home cost in Texas? expand_more
Our standard models range from $30,000 for a 20ft studio up to $120,000 for a 3-bed/2-bath layout. A 40ft 1-bed runs $72,000-$77,000 and a 53ft flagship cabin runs $79,000-$88,750. Pricing is transparent and fixed on standard models, with delivery and site prep quoted separately.
Permitting
Are container homes legal and permittable in San Antonio? expand_more
Yes. Container homes must meet the San Antonio Unified Development Code, setback rules, and any HOA deed restrictions, and they require a PE structural stamp. We supply engineered, code-compliant plans to support your permit and Certificate of Occupancy.
Climate
Don't metal container homes overheat in the Texas summer? expand_more
Not when they're built correctly. Every home gets closed-cell spray foam insulation, reflective roofing, low-E windows, and a properly sized mini-split HVAC system, so they stay comfortable through Texas summers.
Durability
How durable are your container homes in storms and high winds? expand_more
They're built from wind- and water-tight certified Corten steel and engineered for high winds, hail, and severe weather, with high-wind designs available for coastal counties. Container homes are among the most storm-resistant structures you can put on rural land.
Delivery
How long does delivery and build take? expand_more
Ready-to-ship inventory can deliver in a matter of weeks, while custom orders take longer depending on the build. We deliver across Texas, including San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and Dallas-Fort Worth, and timing depends on your site prep.
Do you deliver to remote rural land? expand_more
Yes. Rural delivery is our specialty. We deliver on flatbed or tiltbed trailers and help you plan access, clearance, and leveling, plus off-grid utility connections where needed.
Products
What's the difference between a pre-built home and a DIY kit? expand_more
A pre-built home arrives move-in ready with finished interiors. A DIY partial-build kit gives you the structural shell with cutouts, spray foam, and rough-ins completed at the factory, so you finish the interior yourself on your own timeline and budget.
Service Area
What service areas do you cover? expand_more
We're based in San Antonio and serve Bexar, Guadalupe, Comal, and Kendall counties, plus the broader Hill Country including New Braunfels, Canyon Lake, Boerne, Seguin, Fredericksburg, and Bandera. We deliver across Texas.
